Fireworks do not travel like ordinary parcels. They are classified as explosives, they move under licensed transport, and ordinary courier companies will not carry them. Knowing how crackers home delivery actually works saves a lot of confusion.
Why fireworks need licensed transport
Transport of explosives in India is regulated. The vehicle, the packing and the documentation all have to comply, and the carrier has to be authorised to carry the class of goods. This is why a fireworks consignment cannot simply be handed to a standard courier, and why delivery costs more than a parcel of the same weight.
What delivery costs
Charges depend on the destination state. The exact figure for your state is shown in your cart before you confirm — we do not add anything after the fact. Broadly:
- Tamil Nadu — lowest, being closest to Sivakasi
- Karnataka — slightly higher
- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana — higher again
- Other states — highest, by distance
Occasionally delivery runs free on a promotion, in which case the cart will say "Free" rather than showing a charge.
How long it takes
A few days to most southern states in normal weeks. In the fortnight before Diwali, add time: every licensed vehicle in Sivakasi is working at capacity and consignments queue. If your date is fixed, order six to eight weeks ahead.

- Cartons are sealed and labelled to statutory norms
- Sound items and aerial shells are packed separately from lighter goods
On arrival — what to check
- Count the cartons against the invoice before signing.
- Check the outer cartons for damage or damp. Note it on the delivery sheet if you see any.
- Open and check the item list against your order the same day.
- Tell us immediately if something is short or damaged — we can act quickly while the consignment is fresh.
Storing crackers safely at home
- Cool, dry, out of direct sun. Damp is what ruins stored fireworks.
- Away from the kitchen, from any flame and from electrical points.
- Out of reach of children, in the original sealed cartons.
- Do not store loose items in plastic bags.
